YOUR FIRST STEP OF ALL-LASER LASIK IN MUMBAI
Laser eye surgery is a two-step process: first the surgeon creates a corneal flap, removing the surface of the cornea, then he uses a laser to reshape the underlying corneal tissue to change your vision.
At Samyak Drishti, both steps of the LASIK procedure are performed with lasers, so your LASIK surgery is completely blade-free.
Using the Visumax Method, Vision Correction Specialist Dr. Sujal Shah or Dr. Manisha Shah will first use one state-of-the-art laser to cut the corneal flap, and then a second state-of-the-art laser to change the shape of your eye. Bladeless cutting means comfortable, rapid creation of the flap, precise and simple replacement of the flap, as well as rapid, painless healing. LASIK specialist Dr Sujal or Manisha Shah will carefully program and control the Visumax Laser as it makes the corneal flap.
HOW THE VISUMAX METHOD WORKS
STEP ONE: CUSTOMIZED FLAPS
With Visumax technology, Dr. Sujal and Dr. Manisha are able to program the dimensions of your flap based on what's best for your eye. The Visumax laser creates your flap from below the surface of the cornea—without even cutting it.
How is that possible?
- * Ultra-fast pulses of laser light position microscopic bubbles at a precise depth determined by our doctors.
- * The laser light passes harmlessly through your cornea. Then the laser creates rows of these bubbles just beneath your corneal surface as it moves back and forth across your eye in a uniform plane.
- * Next, the Visumax laser stacks bubbles around your corneal diameter to create the edges of your flap. These bubbles are stacked at an angle that is determined by Dr. Sujal or Dr. Manisha and is individualized to the way your eye is shaped.
- * The process takes only about 20 seconds from start to finish—it's quiet and comfortable.
STEP TWO: LASER CORRECTION
Using the Mel 80 excimer laser, Dr. Sujal or Dr. Manisha performs your laser eye surgery. Their expertise with this advanced laser system allows them to perform your eye surgery in about 3 to 5 minutes.

STEP THREE: PLACING THE FLAP BACK
After the vision correction the flap is carefully placed back and a contact lens is placed over the flap as a bandage to ensure more safety

- Aberration Smart LASIK (Wavefront Optimized LASIK, Custom LASIK, Aberration free LASIK, ACAT LASIK): When standard laser treatments are used to change the shape of the cornea to correct vision, they do not take into account the shape of the eye before surgery. As a result, night vision is often affected. Aberration smart LASIK is planned using the CRS Master software so as to optimize the treatment profile taking into account the corneal shape before surgery, so as to minimize the impact on night vision.
- Topoline LASIK (Topography Guided LASIK, Contura LASIK, TCAT LASIK, TOSCA LASIK, TopoLink LASIK, Corneal Wavefront Guided Lasik): During Topoline LASIK, a computerized corneal topography system, analyses thousands of data points to generate a color coded map of the corneal shape to analyze the degree of irregularity. This map is imported seamlessly into the CRS Master software. The treatment is then planned by Dr Sujal or Mnaisha Shah at the CRS Master console to reduce the irregularity and target a smoother corneal contour to improve the quality of vision. This is an excellent solution for retreating those with an unsatisfactory result with prior LASIK or those with an irregular cornea or keratoconus
- Oculign Iris Registration LASIK:The WASCA wavefront analyser studies tne detailed iris pattern of each eye. This pattern is unique for the eye, much like a fingerprint. This image is imported into the CRS Master software and a customized treatment profile is created. During surgery, a similar image is acquired and the two images are aligned before starting the laser treatment to improve greater accuracy for cylinder corrections or other customized corrections.
- WASCA Wavefront Guided LASIK (Wavefront Guided LASIK, Ocular Wavefront Guided LASIK):The WASCA analyser projects diagnostic laser beams into the eye and analyzes the image to study hundreds of data points in the pupil for optical imperfections or wavefront aberrations. These are imported into the CRS Master software to plan the most appropriate treatment for superior quality of vision.
